Partnership Molecule Prezi

This is my new Prezi presentation I'm preparing for speaking engagements. I'll be utilizing it this upcoming Sunday at Connections Community Church in Schoolcraft, MI. I hope to eventually add voice over and video inserts so that it can be a full featured introduction to OJM's partnership structure. For now it will just give the basics, but might be enough to help you understand how we have structured our orphan care model. Let me know what you think!

Recommended Reading

The following is a brief list of books read by our staff and board of directors that help keep us focused on God's mandate to us as individuals and to the church as a whole to "Learn to do right!  Seek justice, encourage the oppressed.  Defend the cause of the fatherless, plead the case of the widow." Isaiah 1:17

Good News About Injustice
Accounts of injustice from our own communities and from around the world often leave us feeling outraged and helpless. We wonder what we can possibly do in response. And we wonder where is the God of justice? Jesus, however, said, "Take heart! I have overcome the world." Gary Haugen sees the truth of Jesus' claim vindicated throughout Scripture, which portrays a God who rises up against injustice. The good news about injustice is that God is against it. God is in the business of using the unlikely to perform the holy, Haugen contends. And in this book he not only offers stories of courageous witnesses past and present, he also calls the body of Christ to action. He offers concrete guidance on the ways and means its members can rise up to seek justice throughout the world. (from IVPress.com)

Where We Work

Orphan Justice Mission partners with impoverished and under-resourced communities who have a high orphan population as well as an active local church.  We are also working to inspire U.S. churches to become more involved in the orphan crisis through knowledge, resource sharing, and by becoming Remote-Care Partners.

Projects by Development Category

When OJM works in a community, the five areas of release-based orphan care are addressed through community-driven projects in each category. Each of these projects is designed to help accomplish one or more of the categories' basic objectives, which are described below. To see a list of all of OJM's supported projects in a particular category, click a link below.
